Investing in Google Ads
This week we learned how to make a campaign in Google Ads. There are many options to configure, but gladly Google has this "automatic" options that let you decide the recommended option for every setting.
I also enjoyed a couple of settings in Google Ads: 1) You have the option to configure the region that you want to target, and that can be as specific as a city, and Google shows you how many people you will be targeting there. You can also target some familiar status, like "parents with toddlers" "single parents". That is great. 2) Budgeting. You can set a monthly limit to spend (by setting a daily limit, which is obtained dividing your monthly budget by 30.4) and Google assures you that it respects that limit always and, in the event that more money was spend in a given month, it will gives you a credit for the difference. That is nice.
Another thing we learned this week was about keywords for a Google Ad campaign. I learned that you can configure options like "exact phrase" or "all words" in a phrase, and, what I didn't know how to use was "negative" words, that helps you discard searches with those words. That's handy.
